From 2023 through 2025, I documented the development of Wake Tech East through a multi-year photo and video effort that followed the campus from active construction through completion. The project included multiple site visits to capture construction progress, technical operations, project milestones, and ultimately the finished architecture of the new campus.
Over the course of the project, I produced two episodes of McKim & Creed’s In The Field series, working with project and technical staff on location to tell the story behind the engineering and construction. Coverage combined interviews and ground production with aerial cinematography and photography to communicate both the scale of the campus and the technical work happening behind the scenes.
As construction wrapped, I returned to capture final architectural-style photography of the completed facilities, creating a polished visual library showcasing the finished project and McKim & Creed’s work.
The multi-year coverage also culminated in a short documentary highlighting the women who played leading roles in bringing the campus to life, adding a more personal perspective to the larger project story. Together, the photography, In The Field episodes, aerial coverage, and documentary created a comprehensive visual record of the project from construction through completion.
